Pale takes fragments of counterpoint by Giovanni da Palestrina (1525 - 1594) and uses these as the basis of new arrangements for alto saxophone and electronics, and lever-harp and electronics.

The process of making the collection was an exploration into using varying recording conditions to subtly influence the soundworld of each track: one was recorded by the light of three flickering candles (and a laptop screen) very late at night; another by an open window on a freezing morning of thick blue mist, etc. etc.

All tracks arranged and recorded November - December 2018, Holyrood Crescent, Glasgow.
